Rates Appeal Deadline 1st April 2015
Following the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement (2014) any rates appeals lodged after 1st April 2015 cannot be backdated.
However, if claims are placed before 1st April 2015, then any alterations can be backdated to the period between 1st April 2010 and 1st April 2015.
This is a very significant announcement and relevant to anyone who is contemplating a rates review but has not yet instructed anyone to process the appeal.
You can still re-claim historic overpayments if you act before April.
